Introducing Private APIs for SwaggerHub
by Tony Tam
Since launching SwaggerHub in 2015, we've received a ton of great feedback from users about how we can improve the platform to help teams collaborate on and coordinate more effectively across the workflow of the API cycle.
To kick off 2016, we are excited to announce a few significant upgrades to SwaggerHub:
Introducing Private APIs
Our most requested feature, Private APIs, is now publicly available.
With Private APIs, you can now create API definitions, collaborate, and share your designs privately within SwaggerHub. You have full control over the release of API definitions to the public on a per-version basis.
Private APIs will appear in your dashboard with an icon like this:
By using your API key, you can fetch private API definitions directly from the SwaggerHub API - just as you already can for public APIs.
Enable this premium feature under your account settings.
Organizations and Teams
Design and develop your API definitions under your organization namespace. You can create teams to logically group participants in your organization, and to easily control access to definitions for multiple users at once.
Best of all, organizations and teams are free features in SwaggerHub for public API definitions.
Manage both under your account settings.
You can interact directly with the SwaggerHub community as well as get answers directly from the project team there.
Visit the SwaggerHub Community.
Build, Collaborate, & Integrate with SwaggerHub
Build your API, coordinate with your team, and integrate your workflow with SwaggerHub.
